The Centre for Meditation, Healing and Retreat is situated in an old Welsh farmhouse in the heart of beautiful Ceredigion in Wales, yet is easily accessible by road. The farmhouse, which has a history of healing, nestles in the lee of the ancient Cambrian Mountains and overlooks the nature reserve, Cors Caron, a vast area of marshland. Facilities at the Centre are homely and comfortable. There is ample car-parking and a pleasant garden with additional private land in which to sit or stroll. Cooking is simple and nutritious with, when available, organically home-grown vegetables in season.

The Centre, in its present day form, began in 2005. Its purpose is to offer opportunities for healing and personal transformation to all interested. The religions of all attending are honoured, respected and fostered, while the desire of an individual for personal and spiritual experience and transformation outside mainstream religion is equally understood and supported.

The work of the Centre is led by NurJamil Jo Parsons who is a trained leader of meditation, spiritual guide, healer and retreat guide in the Sufi tradition, an ever-renewing though ancient spiritual tradition which emphasises inclusivity and unity. She is also an active participant in the Christian tradition with a particular interest in deepening Christian faith through Christian mysticism, meditation and retreat, an approach also offered in the Centre.

Professionally, Jo is a accredited Play Therapist, Clinical Supervisor and Trainer (www.bapt.info & www.playtherapy.org).  She has an interest in making the experience of meditation and retreat available to Social Workers, Therapists, Teachers and other caring professionals who may or may not be interested in religion, but who do need to keep a calm, clear mind and who wish to work with , resourcefulness, creativity and heartfelt compassion despite the often extreme stresses of work.
